Considering 2021 marked the only year that Billboard did not name a Woman of The Year, I decided to highlight 21 impactful women of 2021 in the music industry. (Note: These were made before Olivia Rodrigo was announced Woman of the Year in February.) I highlighted women of different backgrounds and identities, including trans women, older women, Black women, Asian women, Spanish women, Iranian women, Columbian women, and multiracial women, some groups which typically do not receive the media attention deserved. Note that this is a conceptual project meaning that I am not associated with Billboard nor any of the photographs used. However, the layout, design, and concept are made by myself. .
